The EUPHORIA Project’s (https://euphoria2020.eu/) 2022 social media campaign on May 19th, #WorldIBDDay includes the messages below.
Endoscopy is frequently used to monitor IBD, inflammatory bowel disease but can be uncomfortable and expensive. New research and technologies are needed to develop accurate, non-invasive alternatives. The EU-funded EUPHORIA study is doing just that. In EUPHORIA, hospitals in Germany and Italy are exploring the ability of iThera Medical’s MSOT technology to detect and measure inflammatory activity in people with IBD, using a non-invasive scan.We hope that in the future, MSOT will be able to improve the patient experience and offer a non-invasive alternative for monitoring IBD.
